10 Month Update

Siena is now 10 months old! It is so hard to believe that we are just 6 weeks shy of her first birthday. What an amazing year it has been watching her grow and watching her and Lucca play together. She had her 10 month check-up last week and she is doing wonderful. She is a little peanut, just like Lucca was. She is only 17 lbs. 9 oz., putting her in the 25th percentile. She is 28 inches long, 50th percentile. At this age, Lucca was only 16 lbs. 12 oz.! We seem to have tiny babies, which is a surprise since Gabe and I both were not small babies by any means! Apparently, Siena has a little head, which we had never noticed. Her head circumference was only in the 5th percentile! Dr. Tedford assured us that we have nothing to worry about, though, since she is visibly so healthy and developing so well.

Siena has now mastered the art of pulling herself up to a standing position and she now pulls up on everything! When we go get her from her crib she is always standing up now (as the picture below shows). She is just beginning to look like she wants to take steps as she is holding on to furniture, but hasn't quite yet. She also recently learned to clap and is always delighted to oblige when we tell her to clap her hands. She also waves bye-bye, which is adorable. She loves to crawl around after Lucca, play with her toys, play peek-a-boo, and interact with the cats. She loves to crawl to the window and play in the curtains and look outside. She loves to be outdoors! She also loves to eat! Her favorite foods are blueberries, bananas, turkey breast, chicken, and cheese. She will pretty much eat anything that we put on her tray. Hopefully this continues into her toddler years and we don't have two picky eaters!
Here are some pictures taken in the last week. The two at the bottom are from two different times when she fell asleep in her car seat. When I went to get her I found her with her hat pulled over her head and the other time she had pulled her sock off of her foot and put it in her mouth, then fallen asleep! Silly girl!

She is so adorable! That's funny about the head circumference - Holden is at the opposite end in the 95th percentile! His head is huge! I love the picture with the sock in the mouth - priceless! It was so good to see her the other week. I can't believe she is almost one!!! It is going so fast.
