Bumblebees Soccer and Shamrock'n Half Marathon
March is definitely a month for sports in the Mullins Family! Lucca's soccer season is in full swing and she is doing great. She really enjoys playing soccer, but we aren't enjoying the spring season quite as much as the fall season because it has been SO darn cold in the mornings! We were warned by other parents, but did we listen? Obviously not! Here are some pictures of our little soccer player.

As you know, I have been in a training program to run my first half marathon. The race was this weekend in Sacramento. It was called the Shamrock'n Half Marathon and it was a blast! There were bands set up along the course and TONS of people. There were about 6000 participants! It was a fun course-we started the run running towards the capital building, then through Old Sacramento, and finishing at Raley Field. My friend, Lindsey, and I have been training together and we were able to run together most of the way. I was very happy with my performance. I had set a goal of finishing in 1 hour and 55 minutes and I ended up finishing in 1:51:53, which is an 8:32 pace! This was a huge accomplishment for me since I have had a groin injury for the past three weeks and have been unable to train. I wasn't sure if that was going to hurt me in the race. Luckily, my leg felt great and I exceeded my expectations! I can hardly wait to run another one! Here are some pictures from the run and after.

Just had to add this picture...this is Lucca's leprechaun catcher that she made as a homework assignment for school with Lita. Pretty creative!
