I know I say this after each birthday for my girls, but seriously...where does the time go?!? How can it be possible that it has been 8 years since we were blessed with our sweet little Lucca??? This year Lucca decided to have an American Girl themed birthday party. She had about 8 friends bring their dolls for an afternoon lunch/craft party at Grammie & Papa's house. We had lots of fun decorating for the girls and the dolls. We made coconut cupcakes for the girls and mini funfetti cupcakes for the dolls. The girls had sandwiches, fruit kabobs, and chips for lunch. After lunch they decorated picture frames and tote bags for their dolls and then watched Lucca open her presents. The party ended with a couple of games: Pin the Fairy on the Flower and American Girl item memory.

Lucca had a true birthday week this year! The party was on a Sunday, then on Monday she celebrated her birthday with her friend Sam after their first day of drama camp. We went out to lunch at Round Table, then went bowling. It was the first time for Lucca and Siena and they both enjoyed it. After bowling, we went to Shuberts for ice cream then came home and Lucca and Sam had some play time at the house.
Tuesday was Lucca's birthday and we went to Toys R Us to spend birthday money and a gift certificate. That night we took Lucca out for her annual birthday dinner at the 5th Street Steakhouse, then went over to Lita and Lito's house for dessert and a birthday present treasure hunt.
On Wednesday the birthday celebration continued with Nana Pam and Grandpa. They took her shopping to pick out her birthday presents then out to dinner at the Olive Garden. Finally, she had one more celebration the next weekend-a family birthday dinner at Grammie and Papa's. It was a super fun week for our 8-year-old!
