We celebrated the 4th of July in Sacramento this year. Grandmarty and Aunt Mary were visiting so it was a mini family reunion, as we have not seen Aunt Mary in several years. Hard to believe they are 92 and 94 years old and still traveling all over! We started the morning with flag waffles at home before driving to Sacramento. Once we got there we had delicious appetizers all day. Grandpa Bruce, Grandma Lissa, the girls and I took a walk in the intense heat down at the river. It was fun, but very hot! We had a big BBQ dinner with ribs, chicken, beans, corn, and macaroni salad. Lucca and I made flag fruit kabobs, too! After dinner we sat around the fire pit and made Smores and then went down to the end of the street and watched all of the street fireworks. What a fun day!
We also had some cousin fun when Auntie Heather, Luciana, and Sophia came over for dinner. They happened to come over on the night of our annual back yard campout so they got to play in the tent and make Smores on the grill.
I know that I already posted about Lucca's birthday but I forgot to
include some pictures from the day of her party and her birthday dinner
at Grammie and Papa's.
