So anybody who has ever tried to photograph two (or more) young children together knows how hard it is to get a shot in which both are smiling and looking at the camera. Siena recently began smiling but she seems to clam up and just stare once the camera is in her face so I figured it would be a long time before I got a good shot of the girls smiling for the camera together. Well, it turned out to be a lot sooner than I expected! Yesterday Lucca was holding Siena on the couch and Siena was in such a happy mood. This was making Lucca really happy, too. I grabbed the camera and took a picture (just one!) and it turned out to be the cutest picture I have of them together! There have been times where I have taken literally dozens of photos in one sitting and tried to create the perfect backdrop to get that perfect picture and I end up with nothing. Yet yesterday there was no planning, just spontaneity. I guess I will just have to stop trying and let the perfect pictures happen as they will!

That is a perfect picture, they both look so cute! I am jealous, I have been working on that "perfect" picture of the two girls for 7 months now and haven't been so lucky. Guess I will just have to keep trying....
