3 Month Update

Siena is now 3 months old! I can't believe that she is already 1/4 of the way to her first birthday! Amazing how fast time flies when you have kids! She had her 3 month checkup yesterday and she now weighs 13 lbs 2 oz. and is 24 3/4 inches. She is in the 75% for weight and 90% for height. Wow! Hard to believe she has grown 5 1/2 inches in just 3 months! Unfortunately, with the 3 month checkup comes the first round of immunizations. Siena had to have 3 shots. Lucca also had to have her kindergarten shots so she got them at the same time. Lucca went first so she could be the brave big sister and show Siena how it is done. She did an excellent job! I guess after getting her ears pierced 2 shots was a piece of cake! Siena cried, of course, when it was time for her shots but was pretty easily consoled once I picked her up and rocked her. She immediately fell asleep in the car and we thought that she was going to handle the whole experience pretty well. No such luck! Right after we got home she started to get really fussy so we gave her some Tylenol. The picture below shows how the Tylenol first dropped on to her nose and then ended up all around her mouth because she kept spitting it out! Even after the Tylenol it was a very rough night! She was inconsolable for almost 3 hours and didn't fall asleep until after 9:00 (her normal bedtime is between 7:30 and 8:00). Poor little thing! She was a little more fussy than usual today as well but I am sure she will be back to normal by tomorrow! If this is the way she is going to be after each round of immunizations I will not be looking forward to her doctor's visits! :)
