Since I have the week off from school, we decided to take the girls to Bishops Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland on Thursday. Last year we went on a weekend and it was so crowded! We figured going on a weekday would be a little more enjoyable! We took Lucca out of school early and arrived around noon. There were several schools there on field trips but luckily they were just getting ready to leave and then it was wonderful! There were no crowds at all! It is a really neat place and so much fun for kids! We rode the train, ate lunch in the little mock village, took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, went through the corn maze and sunflower labyrinth, and Lucca got to pan for marbles and go down the big slide called Coyote Mountain. Of course, we also had to visit the bakery, where we brought home some yummy treats for dessert..a slice of homemade apple pie for Gabe, a big caramel popcorn ball for Lucca, and a slice of pumpkin cake for me! It was a great day and definitely got us in the spirit of Halloween!
