Happy 6th Birthday, Lucca!
Lucca celebrated her 6th birthday with a princess dance party at Hype Dance Studio on Saturday, May 29th. She had about 10 of her friends from kindergarten come in their princess dance clothes and they had 2 hours of fun! Two of Hype's Junior Apprentices led the party, which was very nice for us! They did a dance lesson, got to jump on the jump track, colored princess pictures, ate cupcakes, and opened presents! Lucca had a great time!

The next weekend was Lucca's actual birthday. The birthday girl woke up early on June 5th and requested homemade biscuits for breakfast and a kids strawberry smoothie from Dutch Bros.
We spent the morning at home opening presents, then got ready for Lucca's dance recital at the Paradise Performing Arts Center. Lucca's jazz/tap class performed to the song Heathwave. It was adorable. Here is Lucca in her costume at Grammie and Papa's house before the recital.
After the recital, we went back to Grammie and Papa's house for a family party. Gigi and Grandpa Don came up from Los Altos, and Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Lissa were there, along with Nana Pam and Grandpa, Heather, Ricki, Luciana, Aric, and Marc. We had a wonderful early dinner of terriyaki BBQ chicken, pork loin, pasta salad, and watermelon with Emeril's famous chocolate brownie cake for dessert! It was a perfect birthday party!

The next day, we took Lucca out for her birthday dinner. Every year we let Lucca choose where she wants to go and for the past three years she has chose the 5th Street Steakhouse. She definitely has good taste and Gabe and I are always glad that we get to go there and not Chuck E. Cheese! :) Lito and Lita watched Siena so we could have a special meal with just Lucca. As always, it was excellent! Especially the white chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream that they brought out for Lucca at the end!
