We had a great time up at Sunriver! Although it is a long drive (6 hours) and Siena is most certainly NOT a good car traveler, it was worth every agonizing minute of the drive! The weather was hot during the day and cool at night, the river was beautiful, the food was great, and the company was wonderful! This year marked the first year that Lance and Angela joined the family vacation, which was a pleasant surprise! :) We had lots of fun going on runs and bike rides on the many Sunriver trails, kayaking, shopping at the outlets and in downtown Bend, and launching innocent kayakers with Bob's new water balloon sling shot! We also got to go whitewater rafting which was AWESOME!! Can't wait to do it again!! Lucca and Matias had a blast playing together, especially having Kaysen spin them in the chair and going on chariot rides. Baby Theo was an angel and Siena found her comfort zone once she figured out how to stay away from Matias (the preemptive cry seemed to do the trick!). All in all, a good time was had by all! Thank you Jan and Bob for your amazing accommodations (and excellent wine, which was enjoyed every night with dinner!).
