We went on our annual vacation to the Russian River in the middle of July. This year was a lot of fun because we had a new house to explore! It was amazing! Much larger to accommodate our growing family and it had a hot tub, which we enjoyed going in every day! It was also right on the river with an easily accessible dock. We were all very excited about the new house! The other nice thing about this particular trip was the weather. It never got above 85 degrees while we were there, which was nice because it was in the 100s in Chico the whole time we were gone. Most of the days it was foggy until the afternoon. It was excellent running weather, but not so excellent swimming weather. We spent our days relaxing by the river, wine tasting, and enjoying delicious food. We all took a turn in the kitchen cooking dinner and everyone made amazing food! We enjoyed going shopping in Duncans Mills, taking a day trip to Bodega Bay, and barrel tasting at Sunce. We were fortunate to se
e some pretty neat wildlife, including a Bald Eagle nesting across the river, a Great Blue Heron who enjoyed visiting in the evening, and a river otter who liked to poop on our dock! Lucca had fun doing arts and crafts. She especially loved decorating the little cats that Auntie Suzanne brought her for her birthday. Siena and Luciana had fun eating together and parallel playing. Luciana has decided that it is much more fun to eat the food of of Siena's tray than her own!
Here are some pictures of our fun trip!
