Victorian Christmas
On Sunday, Lucca and I braved the rain and drove to Nevada City for the Victorian Christmas. We met Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Melissa there. We were surprised to find a snowy winter wonderland when we got there! They had snow all over the ground! Lucca loved playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at us. Here is a picture of Lucca all bundled up in the snow.
After we warmed up with a cup of coffee we headed to this cute little kids boutique. Last year Lucca dicovered a baby grand piano that she loved there and she was thrilled to see that it was still there. She had a blast playing the piano and entertaining all of the people in the store with her rendition of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Here are two pictures of her at the piano. The first one is from last year and the second one is from this year.
Since it was drizzling all day we did our best to stay indoors. We did venture out into the street for Lucca to get her face painted. She loved her candy cane! Here is a picture of it.
We ended the day with a wonderful meal at one of my favorite restaurants, Friar Tucks. We got meat and cheese fondue-yum! By the time we were done with dinner it was dark outside and it had started raining really hard so the drive home wasn't very fun, but I guess it was better than driving in snow! When we got home Lucca had fun opening up some Christmas goodies that Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Melissa had given to her and she enjoyed making a reindeer craft which she put her reindeer food in. She is looking forward to sprinkling it on the lawn on Christmas Eve night. In spite of the weather, it was a fun and festive day!

She looks so cute all bundled up like that! Sounds like you guys had a fun time yesterday. By the way, Adi loves Lucca's picture on your Christmas card.
