On the day of her birthday, Sunday, Lucca woke up and requested biscuits for breakfast. She opened presents from us and then we got ready for her birthday party with her friends.
She had a Rainbow Magic party, which is a reading series about magical
fairies. It is not commercially available as a theme so I was forced to get creative! We made invitations on the computer and then we did a rainbow food theme. Lucca wanted coconut cupcakes and I found an excellent recipe in the Raley's magazine. I died the coconut rainbow colors and they turned out really cute. We made up party favor bags and named each of the guests like a birthday fairy (Lilly the Flower Fairy, Lucca the Birthday Fairy, etc.). The girls had a picnic on the carpet and then played Pin the Fairy on the Flower. Next they decorated tote bags and did some Rainbow Magic printable activities that I found on the Internet. After crafts Lucca opened her presents, they ate cake and ice cream, and then it was time to go home! 
After the party we took Siena over to Lito and Lita's house so Lucca could have special time with us. We took her to Toys R Us to get her birthday crown and balloon and pick out some presents with her gift certificate. Then we went out to dinner at the 5th Street Steakhouse (always Lucca's pick!). After dinner we went and had dessert at Lito and Lita's house and Lucca got to go on a treasure hunt for her presents. It was a very fun day!
