Lucca is adjusting so well to being a big sister! Gabe and I just love to watch her interact with Siena. She is such a good big sister! Lucca loves it when Siena opens her eyes, since at this stage it doesn't happen all that often! When she notices that her eyes are open she will suddenly exclaim, "eyes! Her eyes are open!" It is very cute! She loves to ask me what things big sisters can do. Sometimes, as is to be expected, she is a little too rough in showing her affections (i.e. a too tight hug or forceful kiss) and we have to remind her to be gentle. She always gets so upset and says, "I guess I'm not a good big sister." So then we have to reassure her that she is and remind her that she is still learning about taking care of a newborn. Lucca loves to call Siena "sissy" and "my girl." Many times during the day we will hear her say, "I just love my girl!" or "My girl is soooo cute!" My favorite was when she said, "She's just what I always wanted!"

That is so sweet Emily! Isn't it great? I know it is so hard to imagine life with two when you are so used to having only one, but it's the greatest thing. I love girls!!
