First Day of School and Fall Soccer

This school year is quite a special one since Lucca is a second grader in MY class! I love having her as a student! We made the decision to move her up to CCCS for the next few years due to all of the enrichment that the school has in comparison to Hooker Oak. Lucca LOVES having weekly art, Spanish, science lab, and biweekly music. She is also participating in an art club on Friday afternoons. She has made lots of new friends and is really enjoying her new school. I enjoy having extra time with her every day, especially considering how fast the years are going. Here is Lucca on her first day of school, and me with my friend (and first grade teacher at CCCS) Naomi...

We also moved Siena up to Paradise to an in-home day care. She goes to a woman named Katrina Sparlin on Thursdays and Fridays. She is amazing and we are thrilled to have found her. Siena is having a blast! It is a much better situation than last year at Parkside Day Care.

We were once again out at the soccer field every Saturday for fall soccer. This time Gabe was on the other side of the field as the assistant coach of Lucca's team. Mike Peck, Lily's dad, was the coach and they had a great time together. Not to mention, they were fabulous coaches! Lucca loved having her dad as her coach! Their team, the Katydids, consisted of a bunch of cute girls who played their little hearts out. However, most of them were smaller and/or had little to no previous experience so it made for a difficult season. Although they did not win any games, they all had fun! Isn't that the most important thing?
