November

The month of November flew by! The soccer season ended, I was done training for the Nike Women's Half Marathon (which was AWESOME) and it would have appeared that we would have had some down time....but not really! :) We celebrated Baby Sophia with a shower for Heather, the girls and I went on our annual Veteran's Day shopping trip with Grammie (to Redding this year) and we slowly began to get into the holiday spirit! Our home has been visited by the tooth fairy twice this month! Lucca lost one of her top teeth on Tuesday, right before Thanksgiving. The tooth fairy left her a charm for her bracelet. Lucca put her tooth in a cup of water and was thrilled to discover that the tooth fairy magically made the water turn blue, then sprinkled fairy dust in it! The second top tooth was extremely wiggly after the first one fell out and she lost that one on Monday morning on our way up to school after Thanksgiving break. The tooth fairy left her another charm, a dollar, and again magically changed the water-this time to red!

Lucca had her class Thanksgiving performance on Friday. Daddy took the day off so that he could see it. Lito, Nana Pam, and Grandpa also came up to see her. She did great!! After the performance we had a school wide Thanksgiving feast! We continued our tradition of going to the downtown Christmas Preview on the Sunday before Thanksgiving and having dinner at Johnnies with Grammie, Papa, Auntie Heather, Luciana, Auntie Suzanne, and Ryan. Auntie Heather was ready to pop (Sophia was born 4 days later on Thanksgiving!).We also got to enjoy some fun cousin time! Auntie Rya, Uncle Blair, Matias and Theo were visiting for Thanksgiving and the girls got to have some play dates with their cousins. We also celebrated Lito's belated birthday with dinner and cake at our house.Sad news this month...we lost Princeton, our beloved cat. We have no idea what happened to him, he simply disappeared right before Thanksgiving break. We searched for him to no avail and in an effort to fill the void in our hearts we adopted a kitten from the Humane Society. She is an adorable black and white fluffy kitten with the best personality. We decided to name her Haley. She and Julio are getting along wonderfully and she is already such a special part of our family. We would still give anything to get Princeton back, but it has really helped to have her around as a distraction. I think Julio would agree!

Here are some cute pictures of the girls from this month...
